Triumph Through Tribulation

Jesus’ Promise of Peace in Tribulation

Jesus Prepares His Disciples for What’s Ahead

Jesus, after spending three and a half years training his disciples, had manifested the Father’s character to them. He had corrected some erroneous religious teachings of the time and performed miracles before their eyes. He had proven to them that they had his authority to cast out demons, heal the sick, and raise the dead just like him. He had also told them that the Father would soon send His Spirit to comfort them when He was gone.

Before Jesus departed, He revealed a solemn truth—they would endure tribulations, suffering, and persecution for being His followers. Since they had given up everything to follow Him, Jesus, like any good teacher, equipped them with the knowledge they needed to face what was ahead. He ensured they would not be caught unaware.

Now, during these final hours before His betrayal, He continued, “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

As believers, we receive the same truth Jesus shared with His disciples—the world does not accept us. It rejects us because He has chosen us to carry His name. Remember His words: “If you were of the world, the world would love you.”

The World’s Hostility Toward Believers

The world embraces sin, evil, and darkness. It encourages people to engage in practices that defy the Word of God. It rejects the things of God and follows the desires of the devil. Each day, we must remain vigilant, refusing to conform to the ways of the world. Instead, we are called to be transformed by renewing our minds, aligning our soul with the truth Jesus has already spoken to us in His Word.

A Peace Unlike The World’s

Jesus assured them that even though they would be hated and suffer for His name, He would give them His peace. This peace differs from the world’s, which takes root in material things, fleeting feelings, and emotions that shift at will. The world could only offer a kind of peace that was temporary.

He was bestowing upon them an inner peace— His peace. This peace which can withstand any tempest, any circumstance, any assaults, or any pressure. His peace prevents you from succumbing to despair and abandoning your faith. It is the kind that confronts the devil with laughter and unwavering courage. This kind of peace is not afraid to sacrifice everything for Christ. He left this kind of peace for them and for us

Anchored in His Unshakable peace

This is the peace He promises—a peace that triumphs over every challenge the world throws our way, rising above every trial and uncertainty. It is the peace described in Philippians 4:7 says, Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Whatever you may be facing today, and no matter the challenges in our world, let His peace uphold and strengthen you through it all.

God Bless As You Continue To Hear His Voice!
