Mission With A Purpose (Special Edition)

I am so amazed by the love of God. As this ministry has embarked on spreading the truth in love regarding challenging issues, the Lord constantly reminds us that to bring liberation to others, we must be committed to action. We cannot sit idly, thinking that some issues do not concern us. The things that happen in our society should move us to compassion and prompt us to action. Hearing about mass shootings should prompt us to pray for the victims and their families, and even the shooters–that they come to justice as well as to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. In these cases, anger is certainly understandable. Yet, we should never use anger to commit godless acts, like rioting or name-calling. The heart of this ministry is about hearing from God. It’s about purpose with a mission. The mission is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone, not just those whom we deem worthy. To those who are unsaved and unlearned. To those who rub us the wrong way. To those who think differently than we do. Mission with a purpose is about purposely praying for those we hear about in the news, whether we know them or not. Praying for our leaders, whether we agree with them or not. It’s about supporting Biblical truth, whether we know everything or not. Mission with a purpose is about serving God and obeying His orders. Period! Mission with a purpose means that we seek him daily for direction. It means that we love people–end of the story. We do not wait to love them when they get their act together. We do not wait to love them when they receive Christ as their Savior. We choose to act like God and love them while they are messed up and acting foolishly. We love people while they live contrary to the Word of God. We love people while they take small steps toward getting their lives together. We have the fortitude of faith in God that helps us to love, despite the lack of accommodating feelings, knowing that those feeling! s will come later. Mission with a purpose looks at an individual and says: “You are special to God, God loves you, God has a plan for your life, you are delivered, you have greatness on the inside of you.” Mission with a purpose refuses to quit until the mission is accomplished, being when Jesus returns. Do you have a mission with a purpose? From all of us at His Voice Ministries: We Love You!
